The this easy to grow houseplant Hoya carnosa was named for Thomas Hoym, gardener to the Duke of Northumberland at the end of the 18th century. I have had this for just under a month and it has definitely filled in and there is alot of new growth. There aren’t any flowers yet but some of the leaves have come in with very striking deep pink tones. I also planted a start that fell off of the plant and it seems to be doing fairly well. I am definitely happy with the purchase and hope that the flowers are half as striking as the picture.

I have had the wax plant for over 30 years and have found that it blooms profusly when it is root bound and kept in a sunny location in the house. It doesn’t like to be moved. I have given away many starts and those who have received the gift have also been pleased. It will take awhile for it to become rootbound in order to bloom, but the results are well worth it.

This item arrived fron Hirt’s Gardens in a very short time and was in excellent shape. I think there were 5 plants in a 4″ pot and they are beautiful.
